Ecto outside of UW

There is a much safer place to farm ecto than UW!

In Bloostone Fen in the bonues area. Kill a tree guardian and 5 ravagers appear. Then at each of the 3 druid sites you will get 2 ravagers when you drop a seed.

I have no idea what the drop rate is, but it is really low in UW anyway.

I did 3 runs tonight and no ectos dropped. We did average 2 gold items per run though, and a ton of plan fiber and dust.

FoW = Fissure of Woe (realm of Balthazar)
UW = Underworld (Realm of Grenth)

Both are accessible only when your region has favor from either Temple of Ages in Tyria (out of way and not easy to get to) or Zin Ku corridor in Cantha (it is along the story line, where you start the counts daughter quest). You must have Ascended to get either realm, and the spirits charge 1000 gold for your party to enter. If everyone dies or you fail to protect the ghosts on your quest, you get thrown back out of the realm.

These are where you pick up expensive Chaos Axes, Shadow Bows, Ghostly Staffs and Stormbows. Also you can get globs of ectoplasm and obsidian shards, which are very valuable reare materials needed to craft Fissure of Woe armor. Oh yes - after doing the appropriate quests, you activate a crafter that will craft armor and buy the white junk items you picked up.

If u want to go there, u may want to go now, cuz i a couple days nightfall gonna release, not many ppl will be there. But by the time america gets favor, u always offline. U could, find u group in ToA then stay a bit at the back and follow their lead. Do it a few time then u will know what to do. And I already ran u to temple of ages so start there, cuz it has more ppl than in zin ku corridor
