I - Intro

Alright, ill break it to you easy, getting to level 30 is hard, keeping your PTs decent while doing it, it is harder. This guide is for everyone who has asked anyone “Where should I level?” or “Can I kill this?”

II – Levels 1-5

We will start off at, well, level 1. This is a fairly simple level but can be confusing for the newbie. To use the WASD keys for movement, merely press “H” to toggle between mouse and keyboard mode. Find which is best for you and dive into a plethora of skills. In keyboard mode, press “S” to bring up your skills. You have already gone through the tutorial so you know what you want to use as your main basis of attack. Equip the skills that you think will most benefit your style. For example – If you are a ranger, and you are using Long Range weapons you equip the Long Range skills. Some skills are Weapon specific and may not work with all the weapons you have.

So, now you have that itch right? Good. Find the door leading outside the Bellato HQ. Directly outside you will find our little friends, the Flems. These are your main target for your first two levels. Kill them as you see fit and gather as much loot as you can. Also by killing the Flems you will complete one of your mission objectives. Missions give you a basis on where you should be in the world. If you get missions that state you should kill Volcanic Demolis, that’s where you should probably be leveling if you want to go it the slow way.

Now your level 3 and feeling confident its time for the harder stuff now. If you been collecting the “booty” and armor as I stated you should, you most likely have the Training Gear by now. All you need is level 4 to wear it. Wings are your next best targets. They die easy and are outside the HQ to the left. Make sure you have enough Potions as these can become a hazard without at least a few. If you are short on cash, sell the booty you have been collecting, but keep the armor. Armor is always important and should always be kept even if you can’t wear it, chances are, and someone else can. Level 5 is easy to come by killing Wings and now you have your bearings in the world of RF.

III – Levels 6-10

By now you’re tired of those old Wings so why not try a Stinkbug? Stinkbugs are just up the food chain, and also just up the road. Cross the bridge near the Wings you were just fighting and continue on your journey. These are very easy to level off of, just watch out for the Flem Guards. Level 7 will come and you will soon get more armor to equip. If you have the money, but not the piece of armor and you desperately want it, go into the HQ and find the DEFENCE vendor and purchase it.

For the next 3 Levels, you just have to kill Flem Guards and Demolis. These levels will go fast if you keep your pacing right. Listen to some music and in no time, you will be level 10.

III.A – PT Pit Stop

Take a look at your respected PTs, if your caster make sure you force is up enough to equip you new armor act. If you need more PT, fight more of the Flems and Demolis you will get some Exp but it will boost your PTs fairly quickly, don’t worry about getting your PTs to max, you have plenty of time later for that.

IV – Levels 11-16

By now your tired of the light and your eyes are begining to hurt, so go into the Chink Cave (A.K.A. Sky Cave). From the bridge turn left and follow the path until you find a large open field, avoid the mobs through this area and march right into the cave. While inside the cave you will notice Splinters to your left, they hurt right now so try to avoid them. Head left through another opening and you will find yourself at Ratmoths. Guess what? Yup. Those are your next targets, couple them with a nice Klem or two, and your up into level 13. Update your armor and weapons now. You should have a quest for Warbeasts and Lunkers by now, maybe even Splinters if you played your cards right before skipping lines > yes I see you skipping lines! To get to the Lunkers / Warbeasts go right from the entrance of the cave, they are at the very top near the SUNDRIES agent. Kill them until your quest is done and continue to Splinters. If you do this right and take your time, you should hit level 15-16 just off these. If not, or if you did, go back and destroy the Splinters until you hit this new bracket.

V – Levels 17 – 22

Level 17 is going to be your first real aces party. Find some of your peers or call in a fellow Mechanix to decimate some Ace Bulky Lunkers, located on the beach just left of the bride from HQ.

Make sure that in Ace group you are using your skills often, especially if you are a melee class. Unlocking your Expert skills before level 30 is a priority but I won’t lie, it’s hard. You only boost your melee skills through the attack stills, same for Ranger. Spiritualists luck out and get to level their “Basic” skills with anything they like (i.e. buffs).

Every level make sure you try to complete every quest you are given, it becomes infinitely important because you may receive your next armor, weapon, or some good old’ CP and Dalant.

Level 22 will come faster then you think and this is just a taste of Ace Groups…

V.A – PT Pit Stop

Let’s not beat around the bush, your PTs suck by now, your scraping at your next armor and can barley equip it. Get your PTs up a little by, again doing quests or soloing Vafer Nippers outside Chink Cave. They should be pushovers compared to your new levels!

VI – Levels 23 – 25

Your almost there and its killing you. You had to get your PTs up and you’re ready to go back to the grinder. You can taste CW and the thrill of war, but you have to get there first.

After level 22, you will notice the mobs here are just not doing it for you anymore. You had a go at some high EXP and you want more to make up for your lost time with PTs. So head over to Solus and get ready to be taken by Crooks. Crooks are your next solo targets. Stock up on 1k / 2k pots before going out these hit incredibly hard at your level, but you can take them down. Just have some faith and level 23 with some good Defense PT is yours.

Its time for another Aces group, get some buddies from the guild or shout around Solus for a Worm group. They are also known as Sand Worms but always try to keep your party shouts short and to the point. Normally in a Worm group you will also take out things like the flying Lavas, Armed Ghosts, and Naiad Hellers (nasty blue winged creatures, BE CAREFUL).

In groups like these you will hit 25 in no time at all and you’re ready for your first CW, a guide which I will create later for newbies to the war.

VI.A – PT Pit Stop

Yup, once again, go back to Crooks outside Solus and start the PT leveling. PTs are starting to become hard to come by as you notice now, just keep with it for a little bit so you have enough to equip your next gear and have enough DEF PT so you aren’t being one shouted anymore. Defense PT is easy to get, just attack a monster, spam pots (you can use a macro if you’re lazy/tired) and eat dinner. Defense PT is the most important because it adds to your health so don’t let it lack to far behind, but don’t wear yourself out trying to cap it off.

VII – Levels 26-28

CW has ended and you want more power, understandable. Go back out to Solus and get ready for another Aces group. Yup that’s right, another one. These are going to be your main basis of leveling for the rest of the game. You will kill these and then go back to the last monsters you killed for PTs. Its like a little kid playing yo-yo: You throw it down, it stays there for a minute and comes back up for you to throw it down again only you do it better every time.

This time your target is: Meat Clods in the Annacade sector. These are a little known mob for these levels. They are easy to kill and give great EXP up to level 28. They are located in the Annacade sector, but don’t shout there, make sure you shout in Solus because the main group of them is just on the other side of a zone in Solus. If you find yourself unable to find a group for these, you will have to take step up the food chain, to the things I personally think you should only level off of 29+.

VIII – Levels 29+

If you skipped the above passage because you couldn’t find a party, don’t fear unless you’re a tank. Next comes the Brutal Aces large praying mantis monsters found in Twin Cave in the Solus sector. These you CAN level off of at lower levels but if you want PT (which you all should so your player isn’t gimped for PvP and other PvE areas) then stay away from these until level 29.

These mobs do sick damage. They can hit harder then anything you should have been fighting thus far. How much? You may ask, over 2k damage is your answer. Take it from someone who has had to tank these: Make sure the Tank gets all drops and if you don’t have an MAU give all the money you have to him for Pots, it becomes so insane that the tank will have to use one pot per hit (so one stack and he lives for 99 hits) and that isn’t a lot at all.

These will get you to level 30 easy and you get to change your class finally. Go to the RACEMANAGER in the HQ and click Class Promotion. By doing this you will be able to pick your next and higher class and get a major jump in force, HP, and stamina. You will also notice your PTs jump. This is the killer. They jump by about 20 points but only jump your own by 1 unless you have them max in which case they will jump by 2 (whoop de doo).

VIII – Final PT Pit Stop

This will be the last entry of the guide and is important. Get your PTs up, for crying out loud they just jumped by 20 points!! Make them respectable and you are now, in Beta terms, a high level.
