Gamerspride being targeted

As most of you know by now, we were being spammed by guest registering and posting links to adult sites, I have taken care of this with a validation by admin after registration.

Now Yesterday gamerspride was suspended for AOL Account phishing

AOL Account phishing is when someone has a file setup within there website to steal credit card info and or user identy by simply giving out a link to that folder
These files were place there by someone who have gotten into the root directory, they place some type of credit card stealing files in the RPG lang folder, it was place there in November. this folder was the rpg lang folder gamerspride was suspended and the site was investigated, by aolphishing.net, who did this I do not know, I also dont know if it is posible to even find them but one thing is for sure, we must be extra carefull from now on.

Everything is back online now although we never know when something will happen again, they are out to get us, and we must stay strong.

BUT amp when im on om gw r yugioh gp tries 2 downlad something on to my pc i dk if its good my download thing comes up but i allways cancle it idk what it is main thing gp is ok and we can play on as normal :)

I hope you managed to fix your problem...i cant realy go into it but we had a similar problem over at DP but we managed to detect it pretty fast by luck and it never got out of hand.

Thanks for the heads up and show of support Namek, it is getting crazy will all those trying to post to adul site, and now we have people trying to get into our files and folders to use them as their own.:p

It sounds like someone has hacked the RPG.

I think you should disable it as no one is developing it right now anyway.

If we get hit again with the RPG disabled we will know that isnt the security hole they are exploiting.

I doubt GP is being targetted for any other reason than they found a security issue they could exploit and they will continue to do so until we figure out where it is and close it.

Gamerspride is not the only thing being targeted, so beware. The other day a bunch of people were on Teamspeak in the DZK server, in the SOS room. Well....all of the sudden the rooms started getting deleted and someone with the nickname lost1 was in there deleting the rooms, and brought us all to the room he was in. He threatened me and said Robin, i'm going to kill you, and told us we dont know how to pay our bill so we shouldn't be in there, and to get the F*** out. Than booted us out, well..they left there website on the bottom of the ts and I clicked on it and it was g00ns.net or something. Well...there was a place I was able click for there TS server. I sat in there and listened. All they talked about was hacking and ruining sites and teamspeak and crap. I heard them talk about some Teamspeak server called ATF...said they had about 230 members and that they used 3 sites. Than each member left to go to other TS servers to ruin them. So, I am starting to wonder if any of this has a link to gamerspride being targeted. I was in complete awe and could not believe what I was hearing. What if someone registered and got friendly and turned on us. I dont know, but it was some pretty scary stuff. I have the website on my favorites so I can find a way to report them. If anyone knows of a way please, please let me know.

Dzk even has a password on their site. I would bet these guys got in through a security hole in teamspeak server to get admin rights. Once they have admin rights they can do anything they want to the site. None of us have admin rights and could not have told them how to get them.

Someone needs to let Tina know, there may be something on that server that needs fixed, or teamspeak may have a security update she needs to install.

hmmmmm idk if this matters but every 30 mins gp tries 2 download stuff on my ps only download aceraltor pops up and alerst me of download and its really annoying me cause it happens alot

I recomend "AD-Aware" . It's an exellent free download from Lavasoft and it finds and gets rid of all spamware ,running processes and such.
