Flame of Recca

Description
Recca Hanabishi is a ninja, but is nearly is killed in an accident. However, a girl named Yanagi heals him with her powers. Later, the two are tracked down by a woman who attacks them. She tells Recca to ignite his flame, but he is clueless. Just as she hurts Yanagi, Recca releases a powerful flame upon the woman. She is excited to see this. It turns out that Recca was a baby, from the Hokage Clan of the past, that was sent to the future in order to escape death. Now, Recca is the leader of the new Hokage Clan who must stop his half brother, Kurei, from kidnapping Yanagi.

Takumi Fujiwara, an eighteen year old who helps his father run a tofu shop by making deliveries every morning to a hotel on Akina (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Haruna) with his father's Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_AE86_Sprinter_Trueno). It is revealed that Takumi has been driving on Mt. Akina every morning to deliver tofu to the summit 5 years before he even had his license. As a result his skills are highly honed and he is also skilled at driving in adverse weather conditions. In mountain pass racing, power is not the only key to winning. Balance, skill, and courage are what is needed to win. Mountain pass racing (also known as "touge") is divided into two areas, downhill and Hillclimb (Uphill). The hillclimb relies more on the car's power and the driver's acceleration control. The downhill depends primarily on the driver's braking and steering techniques, and requires less raw power from the car.

Samurai Deeper Kyo

Shakugan no Shana

Sakai Yuuji, a high school student who expected his normal life to last forever, is dead. When he was on his way home he witnessed a shocking view as the world suddenly froze: people were engulfed by blue flames and a monster resembling a large doll swa11owed them. Just as the monster prepared to consume Yuuji, a sword-wielding girl in black attire with flaming red eyes and hair that burns like embers saved him from the monster. The girl called herself a "Flame Haze" who hunts the "Guze no Tomogara", creatures from another world. As Yuuji noticed a blue flame in his chest, she called him a "Torch", a temporary replacement, saying that the "real" Yuuji's existence had already ended. Unfazed, Yuuji befriended the strange girl, named her "Shana", and joined her fight against Tomogara and other Flame Hazes.

Ranma ½

His battle with many rivals has led to the growth and maturity of Ryuji. The junior high boxing tournament has began and Ryuji will be fighting with his arch-rival, Kenzaki Jun. The battle begins.

Kurosaki Ichigo is a 15 year old boy that has an ability to see ghosts/spirits. Because of his ability, he is able to meet a female death god (a.k.a Shinigami) named Kuchiki Rukia. To save his family and friends from unwanted soul-eating spirits (Hollows), Rukia transfers her Shinigami powers to Ichigo. As Rukia takes on a human shell, together they solve mysteries involving spirits and hollows until from the spirit world comes 2 other shinigamis explaining that it is illegal to transfer Shinigami powers to humans and Rukia exceeded the time limit to stay in the human world. After they sentence her death for breaking the laws, Ichigo snaps and swears to everyone he will retrieve Rukia by breaking into the spirit world.
Kurosaki Ichigo, a 15-year old boy living in the town of Karakura, has been able to see spirits for as long as he can remember. However, on one fateful day, he sees a shinigami (death god), named Kuchiki Rukia, and his world is changed forever. Assuming the powers of the shinigami to protect his friends, Kurosaki Ichigo is drawn into the world of the shinigami. When Rukia is forced to return to her home, Soul Society, under arrest, Ichigo and their friends venture into that realm to save her. What happens to them there, and the events that are set in motion as a result of their arrival, change Ichigo and his friends forever and may have grave implications in both worlds -- human and shinigami.

DEATH NOTE

this story follows a boy named light. he is a boy genius living in tokyo who one day finds a death note falling from the sky. that book belonged to a death god and whenever he writes a name of a person in the book and imagines thier face that person will die. he can control how that person dies and if he does not write anything down then the person will die of a heart attack. well the story goes on and Light uses the book to rid the wrold of all criminals in the world. The police dont like what he is doing and the worlds greatest detective and a few brave men risk their lives to execute Light. This anime is different from the bloodshed you seen in others. Both the detective who goes by the name L and Light are geniuses and use their intellect to figure out the others true identity so that they can kill the other.
In an anime review this anime was said to be a masterpiece and it is amazing so check it out on youtube.

Fate:stay night

Shirou Emiya lost his parents in a fire when he was young and was later adopted by a sorceror by the name of Kiritsugu Emiya. Although he was full of admiration for his adopted father and yearns to become an ally of justice, Shirou has limited powers and was unable to become a strong sorceror like his father. That is until one fateful day, he was drawn into the Holy Grail War and had to summon a female "Servant" known as Saber in order to protect himself. It turns out that the Holy Grail War involves a series of battles among powerful sorcerors to fight for the possession of a relic that will grant one's wishes, the Holy Grail. There are altogether seven "Masters" who can summon their respective "Servants" from different classes known as Saber, Archer, Rider, Berserker, Lancer, Caster and Assasin. Well Im assuming everyone forgot about this thread since the last post was given out last april by Amp. What makes me laugh is I didnt realize someone had started a post like this. I was just lookin around at all the threads and came across this. Well Im going to add to this thread and I hope everyone else steps up and starts adding again as well. I own this series and its spectacular. If u like Evangelion you will surely like this show.

Just finished watching this series while I was laid up in bed with the flu. I have to say this show is fn hilarious. I totally recommend this to anyone who loves comedy. The ending is a total shocker at that. So if u have any time on ur hands pick this up and watch it.

Plot Summary: Throughout the passage of time and the shifts in backgrounds, a particular war continues to leave its mark on history, extending its influence into the modern world. I just finished watching Blood+ and while it was a great anime, it leaves a lot to be desired and could have done better in a few scenes. Saya Otanashi is a girl adopted by George who has also adopted two boys, Riku and Kai. They all live together in Okinawa, Japan outside of the United States Air Base there. As the story progresses, new and mysterious people show up as Saya begins to learn about her real past. Her chevalier Hagi shows up and protects her where they go. Saya is reluctant to fight but has forgotten what she had done a long time ago. Chiroptera are a breed of beings that resemble monsters: they feed on human blood.

Saya learns that only her blood can kill the Chiroptera, and that Diva has something to do with the outbreak of Chiroptera. Just who are her chevaliers, and what plans do they have with the chiroptera? Why is the US Military bombing research sites? To cover something up? As Saya learns about her past, she will discover that she isn't exactly normal, and that everyone had been keeping this information from her. This gets interesting, just what does Saya vow to do about the problem, and how, if they can, will chiroptera co-exist with humans? Just what the heck is "the zoo" and what happened there? Watch the anime to find out. There are 50 episodes with most of what I consider "filler" in the beginning. You get introduced to Saya, but the story gets much more interesting down the road. There are 50 episodes, plenty to watch for your enjoyment.

Gurren Lagann is 1 of the best shows I have ever watched. I reccomend to all who like or love watching mechs shows that they will not be disappointed in this anime. Im not a big mech fan but this shows has everything and its so hilarious. I rate it 5 out of 5 stars. ITS A MUST SEE!!!!

It started simple, with the story of a boy named Simon and his level headed older brother Kamina living in a small village underground. The surface world was always considered to be dangerous, but Kamina had dreams of leaving the village and exploring the world above. Then one day they stumbled upon a strange mecha and a young girl named Yoko from the surface. What follows is a strange tale of action, heroism, determination, loyalty, comedy, and lots of fan-service. Stylistically, Its like FLCL, but Gurren Lagann is unlike any other series in the mecha genre.

Action is one of the strong points of this show. Giant robot battles haven't been this interesting in a long time. While the main mecha (called gunmen in this series) in this show is highly reminiscent of your standard Gundam-type fighting robot, there are many other designs that defy mecha anime standards. One of them even looks like a big talking banana. Gurren Lagann is unique in the way that it combines humor and frenetic action into the battle scenes.

The creators took a lot of chances with the storyline. They killed off a major character early on.. It certainly gets really odd in many places, but just turn your brain off for a bit and enjoy the ride.

Sometimes the more serious episodes in the first half felt flat and misplaced in a series where the initial episodes set a tone of fun, and lots of big explosions. But the series never stayed in one place for too long, so the less enjoyable moments were quickly replaced with the kind of action and comedy the series was best at. And in the second half, it seemed that the writers had learned from their mistakes and delivered much better storylines that explored all elements of what it's like to be a mere mortal in the face of unimaginable challenges.

Through the course of the show, we're taken from the dark caves of the underground villages to the farthest reaches of space. The characters actually develop, both mentally and physically (they actually age; a novelty in anime). Old enemies become valiant heroes, and good friends spend some time in bitter fights.

Not everyone will enjoy every episode of the whole series, but whenever you run into a rough spot, just sit tight and stick with it for a minute. Things changed fast in the series, and a little patience will pay off with one of the best endings in anime.
