Ok this may be a stupid question but I am going to ask it anyway. I have 3 swords and 3 axes on the advice of Dave for using in battle. I have 1 slashing damage,1 fire damage and 1 cold damage. My question is how do you know what weapon to use on what enemy? Like I am fighting Ssaki and do I use the slashing, fire or cold?

In General:
against ele and ranger use slashing
against warrior and assassin use energy

after that it depends on the creature. against fire imps use icy, even though they are ele. against most plant creatures use fire.

if you dont know then just hit them a few times with your weapon without using skills and see how much damage you do, then try a different weapon.

Standard Grenths Balance sword solo farming technique:

1> use sever artery to get and keep him bleeding. Im not sure deadly riposte works well enough.
2> build up adrenalin while he lowers your health.
3> when your health is below 100 use GB to reverse the health situation
4> hit him with Gash to deep wound.
5> hit him with final thrust to spike him out.

3,4,5 need to be done within a few seconds of each other for good spike damage. Also during phase 2 use plague touch to transmit conditions he puts on you back to him.

Sskai is warrior so I would try fire and cold.

Thanks for the tips but Ssaki isnt my biggest problem it is that squid before him. He puts too much health degeneration on me to take off. I end up dying fairly quickly. Any suggestions? Also what exactly should i be using. I have Bonetti's defense, healing signet, repose and deadly repose, grenths balance and plague touch. What are the other two skills I should be using?

The same technique really should work on him.
While you are building up adrenalin, you may have to spam healing sig.
GB should give you enough health to spike him out, then spam healing sig until the degen goes away. (As long as he doesnt also interrupt. If he does, then hit healing sig at 150-200 health and let him interrupt it then hit GB and spike him.)

Also dont use bonettis, take non-adrenalin stances with a GB build.
You need all your adrenalin to sever then build up the GB/gash/final thrust spike. Do be careful to keep enough energy for GB when you need it.
Neither riposte is useful against the octopus, so you can maybe afford to drop one if necessary.
