View Full Version : Okay I have looked everywhere...

Lady of Bane is a mesmer, suppose to be mass destruction mesmer. I originally had her set as domination, but I am struggling with finding a really good damage build. Can someone please help me out, she is the main character on SOS, and I would love to use her more often.

I am willing to try other stuff besides domination too.

As you can see I have been testing builds, but am having no luck :roll:

This is the build that I used for my mesmer until I remade here as an elonian:

Attributes:
Domination Magic: 16 (12+1+3)
Inspiration Magic: 11 (10+1)
Fast Casting: 9 (8+1)

Skills:
Energy Surge (Elite)
Energy Burn
Unnatural Signet
Wastrel's Worry
Arcane Echo
Auspicious Incantation
Ether Feast
Resurrection Signet

You can also go monk secondary so that you have a better resurrection skill. This build does mass damage if used right.

Unnatural Signet can be replaced with the Nightfall skill Spiritual Pain.

1/ Energy Surge : Elite (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Elite) Spell (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Spell). Target foe loses 3...7 Energy (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Energy). For each point of Energy (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Energy) lost, that foe and all nearby (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Nearby) foes take 10 damage (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Damage).
2/ Power Spike : Spell (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Spell). If target foe is casting a spell (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Spell), the spell is interrupted (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Interrupt) and target foe takes 20...86 damage
3/ Mistrust : Hex Spell (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Hex_Spell). For 4...9 seconds, the next time target (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Target) foe (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Foe) casts a Spell (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Spell) that targets a foe, the spell fails and all nearby allies (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Ally) take 15...63 damage.
4/ Backfire (for more spell casters foes) : Hex Spell (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Hex_Spell). For 10 seconds, whenever target foe casts a Spell (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Spell), that foe takes 35...119 damage (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Damage).

4/ Empathy (for more melee and rangers foes) : Hex Spell (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Hex_Spell). For 5...13 seconds, whenever target foe attacks, that foe takes 15...39 damage (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Damage).
5/ Shatter Enchantment : Spell (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Spell). Remove an "Enchantment (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Enchantment)" from target foe. If an Enchantment (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Enchantment) is removed, that foe takes 14...83 damage (http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Damage).

Mesmers are very flexible. Fast casting combined with their secodnary profession can be fun. I run this at low-mid levels. I have found that flare becomes less valuable in high level areas. (So get an elite and do fastcast SF nuke?)

Try this: (simple fast-cast flarespam)
Fastcast 6+
Dom 9+
Fire 12
Inspiration (leftovers)

Leech Signet (interrupt, energy-management)
Empathy
Backfire
Flare
Fireball
Meteor Shower
Fire Attunement (energy-management)
Res signet

You can do the same thing with Necro Curses or Blood. You probably want some kind of energy management with any fastcast build.

These are all good builds I am going to have to try them, currently I do not have nightfall with this account yet, but I am using the build that Greg posted....It is working okay! I guess I am just used to Jamaya doing so much damage, isn't there a mesmer skill that works like SS or SF. I like watching yellow numbers fly everywhere. lol

Uh... I said low - mid levels.
On starter island MS is as elite as it gets.

Like I said - I would change this build to SF/gaze when I could get to an elite. Also SS and necro curses works real well with Me/N
