Is I stated before - Naruto is very TEENAGE. Adults are not going to like it as much. He should try more serious anime.
Another thing you could try is to get a movie called Spirited Away. It is light and a bit bizarre, but a very good story nonetheless.
BTW conor - you watch yugioh, and that is animanga, almost the same thing.
Yugioh, Naruto and Kenshin are all from Jump (as are about half the currently popular anime series.
