Well being from New York I'm a big blue fan and speaking impartially I think they can be contenders this year if they stay healthy. The have maybe the most explosive offense I've seen them have ever. But now there defense seems to be lacking which has always been strong for them. I do think the D will come together though.... I hope :P

What with hockey season in full swing I've been neglecting my football fans. The Giants need a win this week to stay in contention. A lot of people think they abandoned the run last week. There numbers weren't actually thhat different than there past offensive romps. I do think they more balance on offense, afterall you need to establish the run in order to have a successfull passing game. There defense definately is disappointing to me this year (31st.) I always remember them being in the top 5 on D for the longest. Ironically the Giants will probably pass more this Sunday as the Broncos are thin in there secondary. I think they should get Barber in the passing game more.

Well, Big Blue managed to pull one out this week against the Broncos. In a game where the Giants offense was somewhat less than spectacular and their defense could not stop the run. Eli Manning managed to put together to long drives in the fourth, the first of which ending on a Tiki Barber two yard touchdown run. The second with a 16 yard touchdown pass to Toomer with 5 seconds left in the game. Manning showed a lot of poise as he was knocked around pretty good during the game. Showing he could come back from a deficit and rally his team to victory. GO BLUE and now it's on to Washington and let's win there.
:-D  :P

Well Giants fans, we have to be happy with this one. :) 36 ta zip
Big blue and Co. ran all over the 'Skins . Tiki 206 yds. rushing(beat his carreer high). and the Giants D finally came through for them. Although Jay finally missed a FG (also beat carreer high 14 for 14) all around big effort by all in honor of Wellington (RIP). and with Philly gettin' beat up by Denver :-D the Giants have sole posetion of first place 5 and 2 in the AFC East.

Well here we are a week later and the Giants are still in first of their division, tied for second overall with two other teams with the Colts blowin' away their opponents. A lot of people are surprised with the Giants standings but not this reporter. The squad they have is top notch and they're believing in and conforming to Cauglin's demands, which equals respect of your coach, which equals wins. After a decisive victory over the Niners, we face a tough schedual. Now we will see if Big Blue is up to the task and will be playing in Jan.

The Giants came out today playin' like a division 2 colledge team. very flat on offense, giving up the ball four times in the 1st quarter, two which were turned into tuchdowns for the Vikings. Although the defense was strong it was not enough this week. They better get their act together 'cause like I said their schedual just gets tougher now.

Well it looks like the Giants will have another set of initials on their jerseys this week. The passing of Tisch, (God rest his soul), the other half of the Giants ownership will be another emotional hurdle for big blue to overcome. In a game against division rivals Philidelphia, even without McNabb is going to be a must win for blue.
Tisch was the ultimate New Yorker. Amassador of New York to Washington, and even held the position of Postmaster General. Not much happened in this town without his awareness. He will be sorely missed.

Big Blue pulled one off today in a game where they came out flat against a McNabbless Eagles. Hey...a win is still a win. I don't know how Dallas did so I don't know if the Giants are alone in there conference.
On a side note, I don't know if anyone else saw the game but those refs have got to open their eyes. Shockey was blocking for Barber on one play and had his helmet ripped off his head by the facemask and there was no call. Wake up boys that's how people get seriosely injured. :(

I know this is a NFL forum , but I have to mention Notre Dame's win today over Stanford. Great game down to the end with the Irish winning on a touchdown with less than a minute left. This gives them a BCS bowl game.

 What can I say, in a game where the Giants offense did all they can do and the D held Alexander under 100 yards in regulation Jay Fealy couldn't find his leg. He left 7 points on the field during reg. and missed 3 yes three field goal attempts in OT any of which would have won it for the Giants. Exept for a couple of positives all in all it was a let down I hope they can get over before meeting the Cowboys next week.
:( :-x

Sorry to all you Pennsylvania folk. Philly took a whippin' from Seatle. I just hope it demoralizes them enough for the Giants to do the same next Sunday.

My boys in blue could be on there way to a division title after beating the #1 offense Chiefs. Tiki Barber rushed for a franchise record 220 yards and two TD's.

Tom Brady is the best Quarterback that ever lived (:)!

I would have to dissagree with you on this statement. Have you forgotten about John Elway,Steve Young,Joe Montana, or Dan Marino. I would rather have 1 of these guys any day of the week. It is a hard to even say he is the best playing now. You have Manning, McNabb, and now the emergence of Carson Palmer. Brady is a great quarterback but not the best ever. Of course that is only my oppinion.

COME ON we all know Tom Brady is better than Peyton Manning!!!

True Brady has won more super bowls but that doesnt make him a better player just means his team was better. No matter how good offensively you are you cant win the Super Bowl with out a good defense. Now tha Indy has somewhat of a defense lets see what they can do. By the way I am not a Indy fan just stating facts as I see them.
