Unknown:
How you earn points from duels (work in progress):
Win: 40pts
Win against opponent at least one level higher than you: +7 bonus (this is per duel)
Win for a match: +1 bonus (only if opponent is a higher level than you)
Win against opponent at least 4 levels higher than you: +1 bonus (only 1 bonus per duel/match)
==================================
Loss against lower level: -16pts (still investigating…)
Loss against same level: -1pt (per duel, still investigating…)
Loss against 1-3 levels higher than you: -1 (per match)
Loss against 4 levels higher than you: 0 (per match)
Examples:
So, for instance if you’re level 17 and you win a match against a level 21, here is how the score is compiled:
2x(40+7)+1+1 = 96 pts (if the duel was against a level 18,19, or 20 it would be 95 pts instead of 96)
If you just duel a single against someone who is one level higher than you and you win, you get 47 points (40 plus the 7 bonus points; it would be 48 if your opponent were 4 levels higher than you are)
If you duel against someone the same level as you are lower and you win the match, it’s only 80 points total as you do not get the bonuses.
The only exception to this is a single win against opponent at least 4 levels lower than you: 32pts, but winning a match will still net you 80 (I’m still researching it as it is a bit strange, but I have confirmed it does happen)
This can split into 2 case. Case 1 If you have nearly the same LV as your opponent it seem like Higher LV got better hand, Case 2 if your LV are too much lower than your opponent you got better starting hand (I’m not sure about it but it seem to be) also When you beat Higher LV player you have more chance to get good cards from opening Pack but if you lose or win against lower LV player less chance to get good cards.

Have faith and you will succeed, dont think about it and it will come. Just enjoy the game anyways level does not matter cause its base on points and not skill. Allot of those high level duelist only got that way through minning for cards :c:yuand getting free wins.

I would like to point out that level does not mean anything in this game. When you hit level 20 all you get is a Blue school uniform and a gay 300 DP School uniformm (can you say rip off, the free one looks better) Seeing how anyone can make it to any level (with time) you don't get any respect, people don't look up to you. It's not easyer to win duels or get into YOC. It's harder to find higher up ranks to up your rank and the smaller ranks all want to bring you down so they can go up...
Note I probably win 10 games in 100 if im luckyIf this is true I want you to go into your "main menu" click "edit deck" then click "load deck" click on the deck you use the most and click "Delete" you don't need it! It's not helping you!
Now what I would like you to do is go back to your main menu again and click duel logs. Now wach what other people do to win. Learn how to use good card combos and what cards work well together. Once again want to warn you level does not mean anything and don't copy someone elses deck if anything try to make it better. Or come up with your own type deck...
Good luck, and please update and tell us how things are going....

I would have to delete every deck in my deck edit then because everyone I use I lose with.
I have tried using other peoples decks but always seem to get the worse draws ever.
I have the cards in my deck but they dont appear when I need them.

If none of your decks work then delete them all........ No point in keeping junk........
Makeing a copy of someone else deck is always a bad idea. I can tell just by your post that your a verry smart person... Like I said in my past post do your research by "spying" on other players. Find out what works for them and make it better.
Remeber when you coppy someone elses deck you will never really be able to beat that person. Pluss more then likely they copyed it from somewhere else.
I am not going to make a deck for you. But I can give you one good tip on makeing decks. Mostly everyone in this game seems to use the same type deck if you find a week spot in that deck then you will be able to win most of the time.
I remember not to long ago everyone was makeing "Demise, King Of Armageddon" decks. Remember how they use to us a card like "Manju of the Ten Thousand hands" lets you add 1 Ritual Monster card from your deck. O.k. I'll use my "Mind Crush" trap card and there goes all copys of Demise that are in your hand :) Lets also not forget that after uses up 2000 LP to destroy all cards you can use Kuriboh or wing Kuriboh to save your life points.
There where more cards I used I don't rember them all but my point is I won alot of duels with that deck and you can do the same thing with decks people use today... Just do alittle homework and find out how to stop todays most powerfull cards... You can stop Burn decks or Monarch decks or both...

a good burn deck is what you need

a good burn deck is what you needBurn deck? They don't even work any more. I don't remeber the last time I lost to a burn deck... I don't know about that idia.
I have made my own deck and the game is getting so bad for me Im now even having to trade to get the DT cards I cant even get to 3 wins in 4 hours.
Im at a quandry what to do.I know you have made your own decks in the past we all have. The problem is decks are always changring. A deck that worked Yesterday, last week or last year will no longer work today.
Thats why I'm telling you spend at lest a day looking at duel longs and find out whats working right now... Every two or so weeks I spend at lest 3 days looking at duel logs & looking at cards I have in my trunk and finding out what works. Sometimes I find a verry old card in my trunk that has a cool effect that helps my deck.
I don't really see why you would trade good cards for an DT card or cards. You have to find your self a working deck first. Right now the DT cards are Dragons if you have a dragon deck then yes trade all your good cards for it. If not then there really is no point in you tradeing for them.
I still say you should do your homework and make your self a deck. I just keep hearing "I can't do it! I can't do it!" but your not really telling us why you can't do it.

The thing I seem to find when Im playing the online game is that the cards are in my deck but they dont appear when I need them.
Ill get 2 creature swaps and have no monsters to swap or even get 6 spell cards in a row.
However when I play the ds game i dont have this problem. Its the pc one that i have the bad luck on. ( i even turned up for the yoc 6 times and didnt get chosen once. That how bad my luck is on this game. I havent even pulled a cyber dragon from pack 37 yet)

Oh come on! No more of the sad storys. You're the most unluckest person to play the game we get it. Or the game is out to get you, what ever. You can't win becuse your verry unluckey. Your just one of thoes people that believes in luck and all that junk...
This game has verry little to do with luck. You draw six spell cards in a row. Well you might have to many spell cards in your deck. You draw two creature swaps in a row? Why do you have two creature swaps in your deck? Take one out.
How many cards do you have in your deck? You should only have a of max of 40 cards in your deck. The less cards you have the more likely your be to draw that one card that will win the duel for you...
Yes CD or Cyber Dragaon is a rare card and hard to come by. Keep trying to get him and sooner or latter your get him. This is true for everyone. Your not the only one that has a hard time trying to get him. Most people give up at some point and trade good cards for him. You can give up and trade for him or win him in one of the packs thats up to you. But once again I warn you don't try to win or trade for him less you really need him in one of your decks.
All I'm saying to you man is your problems with this game are the same as everyone elses. I still say that you should take a time out from dueling and just wach the duel logs. It's free you won't lose anything and if you study the logs you will find that you can bild a better deck. Everytime you lose your score goes down and it will be harder for you to reach lv 20. But then again what do I know?
Ill get 2 creature swaps and have no monsters to swap or even get 6 spell cards in a row.
This is actually a problem in this game - sometimes (or some days it seems to me) your deck will be barely shuffled, and it's not uncommon to draw blocks of cards that are in the same order that they appear in your deck.
Anyway, I could say more, but I think you could do with trying a decent deck and then seeing if you still feel the same. To be honest though, the majority of decent decks don't come cheap - I could recommend a gadget or monarch deck (gadget decks are pretty straight forward), but how hard would it be for you to get those cards?

I can build any deck you list providing it doesnt contain the gs cards. I have a gadget set.

You will never be able to make it far in this game Command if you can't bild your own deck's. As I told you many times in the past look to see how other people are dueling see what works and what don't then fix your deck the best you can. If you do what I tell you to do it will take you some time to learn but after some time you will be with the leet duelest.
If you have someone else build you a deck or you copy someone eles it will work and it will give you a few wins (if its a good deck) but after a short time it will stop working and you will start to lose more duels then you win all over again. Then what you going to copy someone again? Its better you learn how to do it your self.
I'm not trying to be the bad guy here but to tell you the truth. Good luck!

Best way to learn is to try and fail. At the time beeing I have the same problem as you Command, stuck at lvl 19, my story is that I never played the irl game, never have seen the series, but as a tcg fan I had to try it after a classmate showed it to me.
As a TCG fan (mostly magic and LotR TCG) i did the mistake of trying to get cycle decks in yu-gi-oh - but finding that there are very very few cards that allow you to draw and allmost none that allows you to draw MORE cards than you use I gave up that idea. Then I started seraching online (on cards taht is not decks) to find something that I thought could suit me. I found pack 43, the newest at the time beeing, and there it was the Six Samurais. I made a deck, it worked a few times and failed more, so I remade it, improving it where it seemed to fail and dropped a few cards where it was strong. I found out what I needed to get my strategy going and it wasnt nesseary the most obious cards that made it so. What im trying to say is, you cant make a perfect deck on the first try its an prosess, evolusjonary even. With my Six Samurai deck (love it btw, and even more after Grandmarshal came, however now everyone is playing them and thats no fun=/) I have made probobly 10 different versons each trying new cards (for instance one with marauding captain, one with Command knight, one with double summon and so on), and after some test round vs different decktypes I find which deck has the best allround capasaty and I tend to play that.
Anyways, if you are new to a cardgame you cant expect to know every single card at once, I discover new cards in allmost every duel i play with people over 20 (if they dont play a monarch deck - serious people get som creativity - and for the record Monarch decks is boring as hell to play) anyways a summary of my tip:
1. Find out what kind of player you are, aggressive, defencive ect ect
2. Find out what kind of deck that compliments your playstyle
3. Make your deck
4. Test and Improve
5. Prepeat 3 and 4.

SoddHere's a guy that knows what he's talking about.
Good post, SoddGubben! You made alot of good points one's that I forgot like waching the cartoon. Waching the cartoon may seem lame or gay but you learn alot from it. I alrady have ideas on makeing decks with the cards from the next pack or packs. I've done this before too! The funney thing is, you get cards in this pack (the newest) they you don't think of as being rare but when the next pack comes out they become more powerfull. Trust me it won't take long for other players to see this, as soon as the new pack comes out. Makeing these junk cards into rare cards. So if you can trade for them now you can be ready for the newer cards. Or you can get these junk cards now and wate tell the new pack comes out and try to make deals for other rare cards. The idea is to get a jump on things now.
Just remember as SoddGubben & I said just becuse you start to getting wins with your new deck, does not mean its a good deck that you never have to change. Every few weeks you should try to find new ways to make it better or make a new deck as newer cards come out.
Good luck, and I hope you start winning again soon.

It may sound silly but im sometimes using the "heart of cards" thing and it works sometimes :) just like in the cartoon lol
