ok like some thought ideas about these combos in the game
ele/derv
necro/derv
rit/ranger
sin/mes
derv/mes
paragon/ele
now these are just rough ideas of samples i might try out. but at the moment all i am doing is looking at build ideas.
the professions and choices will come later on! and are these used when one does a solo farm, alliance battles, or the urgoz deep runs?
i know ranger is my best main profession because i love the bows used :)!

*ele/derv
This is normally used in AB as an invincible earthtank
*necro/derv
I have not seen this used.
*rit/ranger
Usually uses Barrage and different rit weapon spells.
*sin/mes
There are some Sin attacks that require the target to be hexed. Check them out.
You should be able to do massive degen with bleed/poison and mesmer degen hexes.
Sin could also benefit from energy management.
*derv/mes
Derv really doesnt need a secondary. Could use it to echo skills or for energy management.
*paragon/ele
I would think paragon would use ele like Monk/Ele - for glyph to reduce energy usage. You could also do something like conjure lightning and a shocking weapon to boost damage.

I think those of us that still play regularly are constantly testing new builds, and trying to see what could be done differently.
And as far as Necro/Rit goes, I run with all three of my necro heroes with a N/Rt builds and they rock it out on HM, so in my opinion N/Rt builds rock :)

Necro/Rit Remedy
Life is the only spirit for spirit light and mend body/soul? or do you run this one with a spiritspammer/ritlord or similar build? Or is it up often enough you only need the one?
Necro/Rit Spiteful Spirit
Why rip enchantment instread of one of the necro enchantment strippers?
Barbs is only good if you can count on physical damage. I always preferred insidious parasite for self healing when they hit or price of failure for more misses and more damage when they miss.
That Necro/Rit minion bomber has 3 monk skills...
I would suggest trying smite hex (put those 7 leftover points on smite) instead of remove hex (half the casting time if it is the hasnt changed) unless you are deliberately slowing them down to save energy. You will add a touch of damage and get more skills off.

Ok...I will try to answer all the questions about the builds. Life is the only spirit that is needed for the Remedey Necro to be effective. It lasts the whole time that it takes the skill to recharge, so as long as the necro keeps the spirit back there is a non-stop spirit around.
As for the Spiteful Spirit necro, barbs is used due to the Minion Master. Since bone minions and jagged horrors are the only thing that the MM makes it allows for massive damage output. As for Rip Enchantments, I am not sure why that is in the build but it seems to work very well so I havent experimented with any other skills.
The MM Necro is the vital role in this build though. Not only does it provide a constant source of damage and body blockers (thanks to the large amount of minions) and the fact that they can protect the entire team with Aegis, Protect a single party member under heavy fire with Protective Spirit, and remove hexes every once in awhile. Since this build is the popular build for H/H vanquishes, the MM plays an important part. It allows for the monks to either be full heal, or bring less costly protection skills without sacrificing team protection. Hope that cleared any questions up.

Are these builds all 3 heroes or people? Counting on a hero SS to put barbs on something being hit by alot of minions was unreliable when I tried it. The SS would follow my target and that was almost always something the minions were not handling (that was long time ago - pre nightfall, maybe the curse AI is better now).
The MM build is great, other than I always prefer the 1 sec casting time of smite hex over the 2 second casting time of remove hex (unless that has changed). I always run with at least 2, usually 3 smite hexes in hard mode because I HATE missing or being blinded by hexes. With remove hex there would be times that the MM could go into hex removal mode and spend about 1/3rd of his time removing hexes instead of his main job whereas with smite hex it is capped at less than 10% due to the faster cast and longer recharge.
I guess I should ask about PS on heroes now. I rarely did it because it always annoyed me that they would put it on me when I was burning or bleeding to death.
The energy consumption or recharge time may be the reasons for rip enchantment instead of the necro ones. I havent looked to compare them. There is a necro enchantment strip that also heals which is what I used on my hero necros.

This is based on an all hero build. It is one of the easiest, if not the easiest, to vanquish with. It is rather difficult to run this build with real people, the heroes are just much better at using the skills, especially Jagged Bones. If running this with a real person the easiest role to play is the SS, I find it almost impossible to run as the MM. It requires no micro-managing at all, and you can just plow through most areas in HM as if it was NM. As far as the heroes using certain skills the right way, it doesn't seem to be a problem. The SS seems to put barbs on the right targets and even if the MM uses PS alot it doesn't seem to affect her. She is usually too busy making new minions since enemies die so fast. The only real problems you have is at the beginning when you dont have any minions up yet.

Olias has made human MMs basically obsolete.
Any notes on which type of human players this works best with? or does it work as well with anything?
Any restrictions on which hench to take? I assume 2 healers. Then 2 ranged if you are warrior and one warrior, one ranged if you are ranged?
If I get on and do some GWEN point farming this weekend (double GWEN points, I think) I will give it a try.
