What is Guild Wars exactly?

its an online game just like yugioh online but its an RPG style game

u use a created character to complete missions get stronger, get better weapons, level up, battle against other ppl online

you can buy different guild wars games in your local game shop...its on the PC

Its a massive online multiplayer game, there is no monthly fee, you just have to buy the game, download it, and then its free and you can play whenever you feel like it, no extra charges.

There are 3 stand alone games, prophecies ( the best ever ) factions, and nightfall.

There is also an expansion, called Eye of the north.

So yeah, if you do get the game, tell me, and I'll help out however I can...

and no, i would suggest u start with a nice freindly PvE guild and learn the ropes, then u can specialize in whatever way u want

Prophecies may be the best, if not then Nightfall.

Factions was more designed for PvP people to quickly get thru it to pick up pvp skills.

Nightfall has "heroes" which are your own controlled and equipped henchmen. They are a great boon for solo play, but almost killed groups play.

Probably best to start with nightfall or prophecies. Prohpecies probably has the best starter area, but nightfall isnt bad either.

after a while, i would suggest getting the other two, prophecies for another campaign and factions for the PvP

Clearly you have never had the "experience" Of getting Prophecies as your first game, and having a new "world" jump out at you. It is something that you can ease into, instead of being rushed through the game and the various things, like nightfall and fractions.

And yes, general opinion of people who got prophecies first enjoyed it much much more than the others :)
