Visual novel-based video anime series to begin in Japan on March 26

The Animate anime marketing website has posted the opening animation (narrowband or broadband bandwidth) for the first volume of the ToHeart2ad video series. The spinoff video series is based on the ToHeart2 television and video anime series, which in turn are based on the ToHeart2 PlayStation 2 visual novel software by AQUAPLUS. The first episode of ToHeart2ad will ship in Japan on March 26.

The new ToHeart2ad series retains most of the main staff and cast from the first ToHeart2 video series, including director Yasuhisa Kato and the three character designers and animation directors: Masahide Yanagisawa, Kenichirou Katsura, and Kato himself. (Almost the entire staff is different between the television and video versions of the ToHeart2 anime franchise.) The Right Stuf International released the first To Heart television anime series in North America last year.

The new video features the ending theme song "Kimi ga Noko****a Mono" by Rena Uehara. The first promotional video and opening animation sequence are still available online. The ToHeart2ad spinoff is based on the ToHeart2 television and video anime series, which in turn are based on the ToHeart2 PlayStation 2 visual novel software by AQUAPLUS. The first episode of ToHeart2ad will ship in Japan on March 26.
