OK I think it is time for a change. GP has been Luxon since the beginning I think it is time for a change. I am curious as to what you all think.

I understand your need for a change, but what about Fook or Diane who AB alot, I am sure they are well on their to those luxon titles.

What about just a new guild hall, redesign the cape? Or are you ready for a ocmplete overhaul?

Oh, by the way how is everything going with your new found passion to rebuild GP?

That is why I put it to a vote. I dont make changes by myself. I believe in seeing what everyone else thinks. Believe it or not I have talked with a couple of people about starting a kurzick guild. Only time will tell though.
As for the rebuilding thing it isnt going well so far. I invite a couple and they leave after a day or two. Due to lack of activity what I was told. It is flustrating but I am not giving up.

I think Diane is closing last couple ranks on the luxon faction title track. There is no way she will go kurzick until she has it maxed. If people do vote to go Kurzick, she will glady make Rickey lead and find a luxon guild to join until she gets her fation title maxed.

I dont want Di to leave I am just at my wits end. That was in no way my intention. I just trying to GP more active. I have tried contests and helping people but only 4-5 of us active and that is real hard to keep people here. I am open to any suggestions.

BTW Dave when you plan on coming back?

I dont know that I will be back full time like I was. I will definitely spend more time in GW once some concrete info on GW2 starts coming out.

Right now I am just getting my first character to level cap in LOTRO, and there is alot of engame content I havent explored, there are feats to achieve and better gear to get.

That is kind of the issue with GW. I could ac***ulate titles that have no real in-game value or get more gear that isnt any better than what I have. Neither is as appealing as playing a new game where I am still building my capabilities in levels, equipment and crafting. Eventually I will get to the point I have done everything and can get anything I want in LOTRO (another 3 months probably) and I will come back part time and get the important GWEN skills I am missing and finish out any titles that will actually help me get a strong start in GW2. Then 6 months after that LOTRO is releasing the mines of moria expansion with a level cap increase so I will go back there.

I guess another part is the environment. In both GW and 9 Dragons there were alot of kids and in town there is alot of stupid juvenile chat, calling of names, racism, etc. I had assumed that all online games were like that. In LOTRO there is very little irrelevant chat and that is mainly related to discussions of which combo of computer/graphics card will display the high res DX10 graphics better or discussions of what gear is better for which class, or does this quest really fit the lore from Fellowship of the Ring and the Silmarillion. You dont see "zomg i r uber leet, i pwned u noob " ever.

It takes several good people to build a large guild. You need a recruiter to draw people in, a team builder to get people to do things together, a sage to answer everyones questions and a leader to keep things from getting out of control and at least one mature active officer on during a 6-12 hour time period during a day. At this point you need to recruit people that want to be leaders and build a guild. Until you have those people, you wont keep many recruits that just want to be members. We originally started growing when I recruited/trained potential officers and found guilds for alliances, Jason recruited members and Robin got everyone into grouping together (whether they wanted to or not). That is the formula for successful growth.

Yah, my heat for gw was pretty so dim when they decided to stop working on next gw but instead abaddon it and make new one, getting titles and items that is so meaning less to me now. Although i always miss my super duper sword/shield and armors collections, also my sweat to stand for hours spamming buy/sell stuff in kaineng. Anyway luxon is our root and i dun wanna change it even though kurzick armor and turf farming is better :D. hahha still disregard my 2 cents, i'm no longer feel the motivation to improve my status in gw anymore so feel free to change the faction if u feel it is the best to get more members and improve the guild. Peace

Although it hurts me to admit it, Dave is right. You will need several good people to help rebuild GP and who are willing to put the time, gold and hard work into it. I am not sure about everyone else, but I don't have interest in GW like I used to. If what is left of my friends quit playing I would be long gone.

As an old officer of GP I felt proud that I was recruited by Dave and promoted by him. It meant something to me, and I know it was important for others. We don't find that in game anymore, just a bunch of immaturity and teens stroking their e-confidence.

Anyhow, I am sorry that you are your wits end. Have you talked one on one with any of your old members/officer to see if they were willing to come back? What their view points are?
