Sony: PS3 outsold Xbox 360 By 45% In Australia
According to Sony Managing Director Michael Ephraim, PS3 outsold Xbox 360 by a whopping 45% during the first quarter of 2008 in Australia.
Not only that, but if one were to include the Bravia deal in the mix, PS3 outsold the Xbox 360 by a margin of two to one.
In an interview with PALGN, he explained that PlayStation 3 has not outsold the 360 altogether in Australia, but that it's only a matter of time.
"We think it's a matter of time before we surpass the install base, but I think with Xbox, they've had a few strong English speaking territories, US, UK and Australia being one of them," he said.
"In Europe they were very weak in Continential Europe, so they have done fairly well here, but with the rate we're going we will definitely surpass the install base, we're just guessing somewhere around the end of the year, if not sooner if the trend keeps going the way it is."
