For all of my charactor i use a pretty good stratigy:
Only work on three of your skills this way when ya reach level 20 you have two 10 level skills and one 11 level. I sudgest that you pick your classes primary skill (strength, fast casting ,etc,) plus a secondary skill (swordsmanship, domanaion magic, etc.) and then pick a skill from your secondary class. For instance my Charactor in Guild wars is a W/Mo.
So he puts skill points in Strength, Swordsmanship, and Healing spells. This helps make the charactor more well rounded and gives your charactor a distinct flavor.

you should probaly use (swordmanship, domination magic, etc)as primary class because without it your weapons are useless but if u put more in your attacks become stronger including skills
