In the last relased pack #17 there are a few cards that make exodia easier to play than it used to be, the set up below worked for me pretty well , please post your experiences, ideas to make the deck stronger and more functional.

some things you might want to add are:

solemn judgemnet-stops gamebreaking cards and one of your few ways of stopping jinzo/decree

3rd tomato-more deck thining is always better and you need witch/sangan and dont forget you could summon the piece to the field and backup it into your hand

nimble momanga-thin your deck back 2 and cushion your life pts

messanger of peace-stall and doesnt get canceled by jinzo X_X

cannon soldier-if you run peace you have to have someway of sending sangan/witch to the graveyard

PAINFUL CHOICE-thins your deck by 5! and can always gets you sinister...

call of the haunted: get back sangan/witch

premature burial: same as call

some cards i would take out are:

Mask of Darkness- just not that great with only 7 targets plus traps arent that great with royal being in mileage and jinzo easy to get plus searchable with witch

Big eye-this card is awful but only an opinion becuase it provide no advantage and you shuffle your deck a lot with witch/sangan/tomato

Feather Duster-just slows you down to assembling exodia

ruin-not needed but only an opinion

In my opinion the best way to play to exodia right now is just to run it around bringing back witch and sangan as many time as possible and getting the pieces to your hand as fast as possible but thats only my 2 cents just hope my fixes can help your deck.

Bluebrian when you have the time send your complete deck set up for exodia so we will have a diversity of deck samples.

Well i dont have this deck but from experience with it in real life, it seems to be a couple version of exodia but my favorite is witch/sangan search for pieces version except your screwed if your oppenent dimensional warriors all of them or noblemans them. Well on to the list:

Monsters 17:
5 pieces of exodia
1 sangan
1 witch
3 tomato
1 sinister
3 magician of faith
3 thunder dragon-deck thinning


Magic: 15
1 painful choice
1 pot of greed
1 graceful charity
1 dark hole
1 raigeki
2 upstart goblin
1 swords of revealing light
3 messanger of peace
1 scapegoat
1 change of heart
1 premature burial
1 monster reborn

Traps: 9
2 or 3 backup soldier
1 mirror force
1 imperial order
2 or 3 solemn judgement or any form of negation except this stops jinzo or refpanel vs. disruption
1 call of the haunted

The deck is creature dry and has heavy traps which prolly makes it inconsistent or you can make the deck more witch/sangan abusive with 3shallow grave and 3 spear cretin.

some sidedeck ideas are:
trap master-stops decree when dust cant
mst-stops decree
duster-stops decree
heavy-stops decree
appropriate-vs. exodia and masked sorcerer abuser
crush-for full on beatdown
penguin knight vs. mill decks
fairy hand mirror vs. burn
light of intervention vs. mill and burn although it hurts you...
cannon soldier vs. those pesky players who wont send your witch/sangan to the graveyard

I think the deck has bad match ups vs. mill, burn, clown control because obviously they can stall you out well and beat you before you assemble exodia except it only an opinion. well thats how i would run exodia if head wasnt so hard to get X_X prays for mileage or pack with it...

a good combo if you have the following in your hand:

backup soldier
Exodia the forbidden on
Painful choice

What you do is, play backup soldier, take the remaining 4 pieces of exodia and backup soldier, if they choose backup soldier, you can use both to take the rest of the pieces. If they chose a piece, you still hav a bacup soldier to bring back the remaining pieces.
