There's darn well too many games coming out these days for me to talk about only three of them in this here newsletter. So I present to you a short list of the startling number of great games that have hit Sony's little family of systems in recent history.

Shadow of the Colossus

Shadow of the Colossus: The creators of ICO return with another subtly crafted, ethereal action adventure that's quite unlike anything you've seen before (except maybe ICO). You'll lock with impossibly huge foes in epic combat as you experience some of the most unique and thrilling video game battles in recent memory. Esoteric or not, this is a game everyone should experience.

Blitz: The League

Blitz: The League: Seems like only last week I was talking about our newest preview of Blitz: The League. Oh wait, it was last week. Now we're back with the full report on this unlicensed, no-holds-barred game of pigskin that even includes performance-enhancing "supplements" in its sordid playbook. The League may not have the NFL on its side, but this review will tell you why it doesn't even need an official license.

SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs: Propers are due to Zipper Interactive for successfully polishing and refining its popular multiplayer tactical shooter SOCOM for a third time. This latest installment bumps up the player limit significantly and even adds some heavy duty military hardware (read: vehicles) that you can drive around during a match.

SSX On Tour

SSX On Tour: EA successfully carried its classic snowboarding franchise to its fourth iteration recently with the console version of On Tour, and now the trick-fueled racing action makes its first winning appearance on the PSP. If you can't get enough SSX at home, now you can take a solid version on the go.

Burnout Legends: It's been out for a while, but no PSP owner can afford to miss this stupendous recreation of Burnout's madcap street racing in the portable format. With close to 200 races and crash events, not to mention multiplayer racing for up to six people, Legends has the potential to keep you busy for quite a while.

The scary thing is, it won't be all that long until I have to populate this list with PlayStation 3 games.
