Hey DH. Today I was playing in the arena and a guy told me that after we do the last ascension we get a chance to change our secondary skill class. He recommended that I become a Mesmer as my second profession. He said that I would be stronger because of some sort of spell that the Mesmer has. I can cast my Meteor Storm spell and use the Mesmer spell that lets me duplicate a spell and then it would be like attacking with 2 Meteor Storms at one time. Can you check on this for me please. Also today I was doing the Warriors Revenge battle and he showed me an awesome stragety with only 3 people we beat the 4 lv.20 warriors and their pets in like 20 seconds. He ran up and tanked on them and they all surrounded him then me and the other Elementalist ran in and cast Meteor Storm. In like 20 sec. the battle was over. Just wanted to share that with you.

Yes you get a chance to change your secondary class when you ascend.
I believe I read you an do the final ascencion quest multiple times and change your secondary class again, but I am not positive.

If you are not using any of your ranger skills or a bow, then Mesmer is probably a much stronger class as you can use their skills to recharge your energy and interrupt enemy spellcasters.

The specific skill he is referring to I think is Arcane Echo, or its MUCH more powerful elite cousin Echo. (Which can be easily found by going into my skill links in the knowledgebase :) ). In general the mesmer spells are good supplements to other skills and having mesmer as a secondary is probably a great idea for you (and most classes, actually).

The only trick to the strategy you gave is getting everyone to attack the tank. Not always easiest thing to do, especially against people. Against the computer it works better, but sometimes they just run by me and attack you anyway.

Kool you are the man. Hopefully tonight we will be able to change all that around then. As for the tip it worked really well because i stayed inside home base and when he said now i charged out and hit them with Meteor Shower then i used a spell that gave me +2 on elemental magic then i used Fire Storm(I think) and then they were dead. It was the best battle I have ever been in.

I have now confirmed how changing secondary professions works. After you ascend, you can do any secondary profession quest and change your secondary, then go back and change again to any other secondary profession as many times as you want. You just have to do the secondary change quest again. Also you do NOT lose your skills if you change secondary professions. (If you change to mesmer and dont like it and change back to ranger, you will get all your ranger skills back.)
