This is for all the Gamerspride members. We(mostly Amphibianbeast) are trying to make the best board possible for all of our members. We have been holding contests and tourneys and everything else we can think of. If there is anything that you would like to see please share it with us and we will see what we can do. Our forum is the best money can buy so lets take advantage of the bosses generosity. We cant do it without your input and ideas so please post below what you think we can do or need to add to the forum. We have a lot of great members here and I want to thank all the ones that are active here but we want to grow and we need all your help for that.

This Forum Is Getting A Little Boring And You All Need To Start Dedicating More Time Into It If You Are Registered Here Otherwise There Is No Point. I Start A Job On Tuesday, So I Will Post As Much As I Can. Plus I Am Learning A Few New Things About How To Do Stuff On Here, If You All Need Help Or Have Questions, All You Need To Do Is Ask. The Admins Are More Than Happy To Help Out.

Well, when this forum was first created, rickey invited me to become a moderator here. I declined because I just don't have the time or the energy to be a moderator.
I did however send some e-mails with suggestions for the forum, but never received a reply. I've also posted some ideas on the forums, but again never heard back. Perhaps my ideas were really bad ones. I don't know. I would have been nice to at least have gotten a reply saying thanks for the idea, but we really can't use it.
Ok, I just had to get that out of my system. It's been festering for too long and one of the reasons I don't participate here much. The other main reason I don't participate is that the forum layout is very confusing for me. I'll admit that since the redesign this has gotten a lot better, but some things still confuse me, but I've sent an e-mail to Amp asking a bunch of questions. (Can't get the PM function to work. It says I'm not authorized to send PMs)
Anyways, I do have some ideas. I sent a few to JMHJr for his forum since I never heard anything on them here and he implemented one of them. I have more and I'll post a few tomorrow in this thread. Right now, I'm going home sick.

He Bought it to my attension that he cannot use the private messaging funtion here. well I`ve check into it.. and he was right.
I have corrected the problem and now everyone call all use private messaging. ( Thankyou RPGwarrior).
If anyone else has a problem please let me know.

I am still learning this board, it has alot to offer and i`ve only covered about 20% of what it has to offer. so if anyone has any issues please be sure to let me know.

RPG I will take full responsibility for not responding to your ideas. I am not making excuses but I was still fairly new to this. When we 1st started out we were a bit unorganized but now that we have this great board please pm me or email me or post it here I promise you will here something from either Amp or myself.

Well I promised you some ideas. Here are some random thoughts that have flitted through my brain in the past 48 hours. However, keep in mind that I'm currently sick so if most of these thoughts are incoherent scribbles, you've been warned.
There are probably some good, mediocre and downright lousy thoughts here. Take the ones that sound promising and discard the rest.
1. Amphibian, first off you need to establish a unique identity for this site. What makes this forum different from Madhackers, Pyramids, JMHJR or any other forum out there? Whatever that is, make it your selling point.
Madhackers has his Pack listings and searchable database.
Sonic has the best site for up to the minute card info.
Pyramids has the COTD review forums.
and JMH has the new and promising dueling academy.
Gamerspride needs a drawing card. Right now, I think thats the 2 arcades that you have up. Anyways, it's what drew me back to the site.
2. You've made a lot of good changes to the site recently and you need to let folks know about them. Send an e-mail out to everyone that is registered on your forum but hasn't visited in a month and let them know about the changes.
3. Similiar to #1. What is the purpose of your little niche in the web? What do you want to provide to the folks that come here? Obviously, you're not trying to be the best place to go to for low-fat recipes, but at the same time you're more than just a Yugioh forum. Are you trying to cover all online games or just a select few?
4. This one is addressed to Stephenconor. As you already know, I loved your dueling challenges like the "deck me with 80 cards" and "all normal monsters" challenges. If you would like to continue this, I have some ideas you can try. I'll give you the overall concept and tips on what you should put in your deck in order to make the challenges more difficult. It's easy to come up with a challenge sooo difficult that it can't be done. The hard part is coming up with a challenge that sounds easy but isn't.
5. Personally, for me the big drawing card is games and contests. I love games and I love competition, this is why I've been steadily trying to get the high score on some of the forum-games. Did I mention I'm very competitive??? (Pssst, Willamp? Gonna try for the snake championship again?)
I love the idea of a prize for the monthly high score in a single game. Heck it doesn't even have to be a great prize. The thrill of competition is enough for me. I'd accept any card in your trunk that I don't already own as a wonderful prize. (And there are A LOT of cards I don't own!)
6. For your monthly high score contest, how about this. For April, Amphibian chooses the game. The winner gets the prize and also gets to choose which game will be next month's feature. The winner is also ineligible to win next month.
7. Put up a couple of polls. Ask your members which features they love about the forum and which ones they hate. Adjust the site accordingly.

WOW RPG so many good things there I had to read it more than once. We are trying to be more than just a YGO board. As for setting Gamerspride apart from the others this forum is also the only forum with its own ladder system in place. Beast has proven that if it is worth it he will get it. As for the new forum-games that is awesome as well. You have given me and I am sure beast as well a lot to think about. Thanks for the great post.

nice ideas ,but one thing why do we have to wait 460 secs between posts the forums will be more active when its gone since you can post to make the forums active.

The 460 second were set to stop mass spamming. because of the installation of the vbbux plaza. players can just do alot of posting to build up enough points which would allow them to purchase rare cards from the Gamerspride e-store. so to prevent this the 460 second rule was introduced. it is only about 7 minutes.. but i`ll lower it to 5 minutes.. which is 300 seconds.:)

Hehe, no waiting for me. I bought the bypass flood control thing, and man I'm glad I did. It's a royal pain in the *** to wait that long.

considering that this is the only forum site that i go to its fine for me. but i need help, i cant figure out how to start new posts and when i try to set up an avatar it has the box checked saying "dont use an avatar" and it wont let me uncheck it. can someone tell me what to do?

i think this v buck thing is cool, and i love the fact that the music is back. if i didnt work as much i would do moer with tornies and differant stuff like that. i love this site and amp and everyone rocks. so wheen i have more time on my hands i will throw one off the greatest tornies so be ready for it i will post it when it is time thank you gamerspride and every one here.

i saw on a differant site that they hade a price guide for yu gi oh i thought that was pretty cool i thing we should do something like that with guild wars how much differant wepons r worth and potions, and stuff like that ,i think it would be great for the yu gi oh and guilds trade.

An element tournament where each player has to base the decks on an element.The deck have to have monsters from whatever element they pick.
A fire deck consist of only fire monsters and so on like water wind earth and air. Like the show every deck is base on theme. I would like to host tournaments if i can. I would also like to be on the staff help out with anything i can to better the site productivity and enjoyment. thankyou

Try using your browser to select an avatar, maybe after you have selected it the don't use box will be un-checked.

I did not realize that there was a 10 post limit to play in the arcade for new members. well that will be taken care of right now.
As of now all members and new members alike can play in the arcade no matter what their post count. Thanks for the headsup "kassiebear" :)
